The Reality of Running a Microschool
You're Doing Everything
Teaching, operations, marketing, enrollment, family communication, compliance, funding paperwork and it never stops.
If you're a microschool founder, you know this feeling. You started your school because you care deeply about students and learning. You envisioned a tight-knit community where kids thrive and families feel supported.
But somewhere along the way, the administrative weight became crushing. You're managing enrollment spreadsheets at midnight. You're confused about ESA funding requirements. You're trying to figure out onboarding systems while also planning tomorrow's lessons. And you're doing most of it alone.
The isolation is real. So is the overwhelm. You didn't sign up to become a full-time operations manager, but that's what running a small school demands.
What Founders Tell Us They're Struggling With
Too Many Systems, Not Enough Time
Enrollment forms, payment tracking, family communication platforms, scheduling tools—each one requires setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It's exhausting trying to keep it all running smoothly.
Enrollment and Onboarding Confusion
How do you streamline the application process? What should families know upfront? How do you create a welcoming onboarding experience that sets the right tone without creating more work for yourself?
ESA and Funding Complexity
Education Savings Accounts and other funding pathways can feel like learning a foreign language. The paperwork is dense, the requirements change, and one mistake can mean lost funding for families who depend on it.
Admin Work Stealing Time from Students
You became an educator to work with kids, not to spend hours on spreadsheets and compliance forms. But the reality is that operations eat up the time you'd rather spend building curriculum and connecting with families.
The Weight of Doing It Alone
Most microschool founders don't have a team. You can't afford a full-time operations director. And even when you ask for help, most people don't understand the unique challenges of running a small, independent learning community.
Marketing Feels Impossible (And So Does Self-Promotion)
You're an educator, not a marketer. Talking about your school online feels awkward. Imposter syndrome creeps in. You wonder if you're 'enough' to lead this work. Mindset challenges are real—and they deserve attention alongside the operational ones.
Introducing the Microschool Ops Collective
A shared support program designed specifically for independent educators who need operational guidance, practical systems, and a community of people who understand what you're facing.
This isn't a course you take once and forget. It's not a generic business coaching program. It's ongoing, hands-on support for the real, messy, daily challenges of running a small school—from someone who's been there and built these systems before.
The Collective gives you access to proven playbooks, monthly group coaching, troubleshooting support, and a small community of founders working through the same challenges. You'll finally have someone in your corner who gets it, and who can help you build systems that actually work.

Meet Heather Miniello
Heather is a former microschool founder who knows firsthand what it takes to build and sustain a small learning community. After running her own program, she went on to design and lead multiple nationwide education and edtech programs for nonprofits, working closely with founders across the country.
She led a national founder support program, helping educators navigate the complexities of enrollment systems, operational workflows, and ESA funding programs. She's seen what works, what doesn't, and what founders actually need to build schools that last.
Today, Heather is building a Skool community and creating practical playbooks to give independent educators the operational backbone they deserve, without the corporate jargon or one-size-fits-all solutions. Her approach is grounded, clear, and deeply rooted in real-world experience.

Who This Is Not For
This program isn't designed for people looking for a done-for-you full admin team. We're here to guide and support you in building your own systems, not to take over your operations. It's also not the right fit if you're not actively working on a program, this is hands-on, practical work that requires real-time application.
